Team Fortress 2: What is an Aimbot?

Valve Corporation’s 2007 hit game: Team Fortress 2, is under serious attack from all sides. On the one hand, its players are review bombing it. Whilst on the other hand, those players are being attacked by Bot Hosters, commanding hordes of aimbots. Before explaining what a Bot Hoster is, lets start off by answering the question – What is an Aimbot?

Team Fortress 2: What is an Aimbot?

An Aimbot is a program or patch which allows a player to cheat. Once installed, this patch allows your character’s weapon to aim automatically, usually resulting in endless headshots. Such conduct makes the game virtually unplayable for everyone else. And, gives a bad name to bots everywhere.

Some of these Aimbots tend to be operated by highly skilled “Bot Hosters” who control a large number of bots. The aim, and drive behind a Bot Hoster motives vary. Some do it for the fun of it, while others do it in order to falsely sell you some “bot protection” patches. Claiming those will shield you from the rampant Aimbots.

Bot Hosters are also known for harassing other players via chat, spewing racial slurs, and publishing your personal information to the community (if you try to get in their way). We need to unitedly rise up, and stop this madness!
