Multiversus has bots!

Multiversus has bots! Spread the word! Multiversus has bots. As someone who strongly advocates for creation of games with bots, I am happy today. I am extremely happy that Multiversus’ servers are back online. And, the game has bots!

Multiversus | DEVELOPER: Player First Games | PUBLISHER: Warner Bros. Games

But there is a problem.

Last time we checked, the game’s bots weren’t ideal. Which sparked some outrage on Reddit, with one gamer exclaiming – What were the devs smoking? As a sign of disappointment over the way bots were mishandled in this game. Needless to say, more and more people are now actively looking for games with bots. Especially offline bots. One player said, “I can’t figure out how to play the game with my wife against bots. We’re on PS5, took us a minute to find local multiplayer but we found it. If we try to start the game with us on one team and nobody on the other it says not enough players, but we can’t seem to find any sort of add bot button.

Let’s hope that one day, game studios will listen to our growing plea for offline bots! Most games these days are only playable online. Even if the game has a single player mode only.

Multiversus has bots!

In conclusion, I shall encourage you (once again) to celebrate and promote the creation of video games with bots. Despite widespread misconceptions about bots, I believe that they are wonderful. Esspecially when they are made well.

About this blog

Are you also struggling to find good, enjoyable, high quality video games? Me too, along with good-chunk of modern gamers. And, because of that: I started a blog that showcases the problems we have (as gamers). Alongside the solutions we need, stuff like; reviving neglected genres, embracing offline gaming, and the power of having AI players (bots). Well-made offline bots, with adjustable difficulty levels.
