Offline gaming just got sweeter

As hordes of online gamers continue to justifiably mourn and complain about servers getting shutdown, and poor matchmaking. The team at Cranky Watermelon just made offline gaming sweeter with a much-awaited Just Desserts DLC, for Boomerang Fu.

How can anyone improve a frantic physics party game, where you can slice and dice your friends with boomerangs? Simple, you just add a bunch of brand new maps, and brand new playable characters! which is exactly what they’ve done in the new DLC.

Why wouldn’t you love a game that’s playable offline, weighs less than a gig, keeps getting updates, and has killer bots that actually know how to wield a boomerang!? Hooray for offline gaming!

Given the state of today’s gaming industry, it is important (now more than ever) for us to buy and support indie games like Boomerang Fu. None of the major studios still pour their heart and souls into games the way indie guys do. Correction, none of the major studios still have souls. So, let’s rally behind indies like Paul Kopetko’s Cranky Watermelon.

Conclusion

The more we play, buy, and write about indie games like this gem, the more updates we get. Spread the word, get more people to play this game! Boomerang Fu just got an awesome update. In conclusion, I would like to encourage you to actively pursue games with an offline mode. Games you actually own, without depending on online servers. Support game dev studios like Cranky Watermelon!

About this blog

Are you also struggling to find good, enjoyable, high quality video games? Me too, along with good-chunk of modern gamers. And, because of that: I started a blog that showcases the problems we have (as gamers). Alongside the solutions we need, stuff like; reviving neglected genres, embracing offline gaming, and the power of having AI players (bots). Well-made offline bots, with adjustable difficulty levels.
