Offline bots

Let me recommend an offline indie game with bots

Published on

Today I was on Itch, and I stumbled upon a real gem. An offline indie game called Cuckoo Curling, which can be played by four players. Or, played against bots. Offline bots.

I highly recommend this free game (with an option to pay as much as you want, or buy the deluxe which has an online mode). And, those of you who are wondering what the game is about, wonder no more.

Cuckoo Curling is like “curling” an game played on ice, where you slide big pucks on the ice. Towards a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. But, Cuckoo Curling is a little more crazier than that, as the name suggests. Instead of playing it the old school way, Cuckoo Curling challenges players to line-up four pucks of the same colour. While taking turns to slide your pucks, and knock your opponents off the board.

And as mentioned before, this offline indie game can be played with bots. Or real players, in an offline “battle” mode. All for free! With the option to buy the Deluxe version (online mode included) or pay as much as you want, for the free one. And, the whole game is very adorably shaded in a cartoon style. With tones of replayability, especially for those who appreciate the strategy which goes into it. And, those who are not blinded by all the various misconceptions about games with bots.

In conclusion, I’ll give you a little tip: use the space bar to pop out the cuckoo bird, and even the battlefield. If you like to play dirty. The bots won’t know what hit them, but real opponents will certainly see you, and not be happy!
